Deal Town Rangers recently hosted their annual summer 6 a side tournament. The two day event took place in glorious weather at Castle Community College with over 100 teams from nearly 30 different clubs taking part across 10 different age groups ranging from u7s to u16s.
With a strong club representation at the event, the Rangers were winners in two of the age groups. On Saturday, the U9 Rangers won their final on penalties, whilst the U12 Colts completed a successful Sunday with a victory over local rivals Betteshanger Welfare. In addition, the U15s and and U14s were both losing semi finalists.
The weekend was a great success, with some excellent football taking place, showing how much talent there is in youth football in the area. Chairman Alan Clarke commented 'we are so pleased that we have had another successful event this year thanks to the participation of all the teams and players involved and to the club's committee members, managers and parents who all came out to help to make this a great weekend for the club'.
